From the PTO Board
Whether you are a parent sending your child to school for the first time, or a Lorraine veteran, the Lorraine Elementary PTO would like to welcome you and your child to LES!

What does the Lorraine PTO do?
The PTO serves the interests of the Lorraine Family. We do this in the form of fundraising, advocacy, and community building.

Through our varied fundraising efforts we are able to support students and teachers in the form of teacher grants, the purchase of playground equipment, teacher incentives, school dance decorations, Pick of the Pride celebrations, and more!

Our advocacy efforts are centered around supporting the common vision and mission of Lorraine Elementary School. We advocate at the local and district levels for policies and procedures that support this vision and mission.

Community building is at the core of what we as a PTO do. We believe that with a strong community, anything is possible!

PTO Meetings
General body PTO meetings are held in-person and virtually twice a semester, four times per year in the evening at 6pm: September, November, February, and April.  The meetings are designed to share information with the general PTO body about events, fundraisers, advocacy efforts, and community building opportunities. During these meetings we also recognize the Picks of the Pride!

Kona Ice

Who doesn’t like flavored ice? Help students select their favorite colors as they cool themselves off before heading back to class. Kona Ice is offered to students twice a semester, four times a year.

Holiday Shoppe

Who wants to shop? Parent volunteers help students do their holiday shopping for themselves, family and friends. What a way to bring in the holiday season!

Fall Festival

Parents volunteer at our biggest community building activity. Get in the action while getting to know your Lorraine family but also the larger South Rockdale community. It is a great time to be had by all!
